    Masterclass to inspire Perth College UHI students in advance of World AIDS Day exhibition

    Art students at Perth College UHI took inspiration from a special masterclass on contemporary art and political activism in advance of their exhibition of artworks for World AIDS Day. Part of the ongoing collaboration between Horsecross Arts, Perth College UHI, Culture Perth and Kinross, and Terence Higgins Trust, the all-day masterclass was delivered on Tuesday 1 November by London-based artist and political activist Mare Tralla in collaboration with Horsecross Arts creative director for Contemporary Art, Iliyana Nedkova.

    Double awards success for Horsecross Arts at Scottish Event Awards

    Horsecross Arts picked up a pair of prestigious awards this week at the annual Scottish Event Awards.

    The creative organisation behind Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre collected the Green Award and the Large Venue of the Year Award at a glittering ceremony in Glasgow on Wednesday 5 October.

  • Glassrooms Cafe closed on Tuesday 4 and Thursday 6 October

    Perth Concert Hall's Glassrooms Cafe will be closed on Tuesday 4 and Thursday 6 October as we are hosting a large conference. Box Office will open as normal on Tuesday, but on Thursday it will relocate to Perth Museum and Art Gallery for the day.

    Free dance workshops as part of Margaret Morris celebration

    S5 and S6 pupils at Perth High School enjoyed a free dance workshop as part of Horsecross Arts’ Movement season celebrating the life and work of dance pioneer Margaret Morris. Dance artists Kasumi Momoda and Yifeng Zhu led the session which was based on a new choreographic work by Scottish Ballet principal dancer Vincent Hantam. Vincent himself will run a free dance session for over sixteen’s in Perth Concert Hall’s Norie-Miller Studio on Monday evening.
