Scottish-Egyptian siblings, the Ayoub Sisters will join the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) in Perth Concert Hall on Wednesday 12 June for a relaxed evening of well-known music.

Audiences at the RSNO Prom with the Ayoub Sisters will have the option to select cabaret seating around tables in the Perth Concert Hall stalls for this family friendly concert.

Violinist Laura and cellist Sarah, who were discovered by Mark Ronson and are signed to Decca Records in partnership with Classic FM, will perform familiar classical tunes including Excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and his 1812 Overture, Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries, Greensleeves by Vaughan-Williams and Monti’s Csárdás. There will also be a new arrangement of the traditional Misirlou/Ah Ya Zein which grown-ups may recognise from the film Pulp Fiction!

Commenting on the performance, their first Scottish date since BBC Proms in the Park in Glasgow last summer, the Ayoub Sisters said:

“We grew up watching the RSNO as children so it will be a very special experience sharing the stage with the same orchestra that we grew up listening to. We will be performing a vast mix of repertoire - arrangements we have written of music we grew up listening to as well as music from our Scottish and Arabic heritage. There may be a few surprises…but you will have to come to the concert and see!”

James Waters, creative director for classical music for Horsecross Arts, the creative organisation behind Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre said:

“We are thrilled to welcome the RSNO and the Ayoub Sisters to Perth Concert Hall’s first ever classical prom. It is full of irresistible classical hits and the informal atmosphere and format makes it perfect family entertainment.”

The Ayoub Sisters and the RSNO will be joined by Classic FM presenter Anne-Marie Minhall and conductor Timothy Redmond for the prom in Perth Concert Hall. Click here for tickets and info for RSNO Prom with the Ayoub Sisters on Wednesday 12 June or call Horsecross Arts Box Office on 01738 621031.
