    Voluntary Arts Scotland is inviting local creatives to a free workshop in Perth Concert Hall to discuss how local networks, venues and funding can best support the activities of voluntary arts groups.

    The Pathways workshop in Perth Concert Hall on Saturday 25 April at 11am is an opportunity for those who are involved with all kinds of voluntary arts groups across Perth & Kinross —music, drama, dance, art, crafts, writing, film-making, and more— to share the challenges they face, and talk about the links, venues, resources and networks that matter to them.

    Blue Rose Code, in Perth Concert Hall’s Norie-Miller Studio on Friday 24 April, is not folk music. Or so he’s been told. Ross Wilson, the Edinburgh-born songwriter who performs under that name, doesn’t write folk songs. But having discovered the traditional music of the British Isles whilst in exile down south, he fell in love with what he heard and those sounds informed what happened next.
