Two exceptional performers from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland take on Shostakovich’s emotive 1934 masterpiece for cello and piano as well as a varied trio of 20th century works by Benjamin Britten, Nadia Boulanger and the greatest cellist of his age, Mstislav Rostropovich.
