The double bass seldom gets star billing, but the brilliant Will Duerden showcases its versatility with Romantic expression from Schumann, Impressionist colours from Ravel and Fauré and a dazzling operatic fantasia from the 19th-century doyen of double bass, Giovanni Bottesini.
