When their flute-playing neighbour heads to La Scala Opera House in Milan to judge the competition for the Greatest Orchestra in the World, Stan and Mabel decide to follow and to create their very own Animal Orchestra along the way!
Join the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, conductor Gregory Batsleer and children’s TV presenter Chris Jarvis to enjoy this fabulous musical tale, written and illustrated by Jason Chapman and set to music by Paul Rissmann. This free concert is ideal for primaries 1 – 4 and includes irresistibly catchy songs with action, ideal for engaging young children in orchestral music, as well as firing up their imaginations.

Stan and Mabel beyond the concert hall
Would you like to deliver fun, story-based musical activities for the children and families you work with? The Scottish Chamber Orchestra invite all Nursery - P4 teachers to an experiential online training session focused on Stan and Mabel. Workshop leader Lucy Drever will take you through simple and engaging musical warmups and activities based on the book, and provide you with recordings and other practical
resources. We welcome all teachers irrespective of musical experience or confidence!
