Dunedin Consort
Christopher Bowen - tenor/director

Unfortunately Nicholas Mulroy has had to withdraw from this concert. He is replaced by Christopher Bowen and the programme remains unaltered.

Those who remember Dunedin’s glorious performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers a few years ago will want to plunge into the turbulent waters of his secular music in this programme. Guest director Christopher Bowen leads singers and instrumentalists in a ravishing selection of madrigals about love, loss and war from his 6th, 7th and 8th Books – ardent, vivid music evoking the world of Monteverdi’s great operas in microcosm.
