On Saturday 14 May, Children’s Classic Concerts will bring free bite-size music workshops to community venues around Perth to introduce children to the characters and ideas of their new concert for Perth Festival of the Arts the following week. Django's Journey follows the story of an intrepid band of travelling musicians and their jazz-loving pet, Django, as they explore all the international influences of gypsy jazz music.

Children’s Classic Concerts' much-loved presenter, Owen Gunnell and award-winning songstress and fiddler, Seonaid Aitken, will lead the workshops and introduce children to the exciting characters and music of the concert.

The 45-minute workshop is for children aged 4-12 years old but is open to all the family and we ask that parents/carers accompany their children. Free tickets must be booked in advance via the box office. No musical skills are required as percussion instruments will be provided. Owen and Seonaid will have you swinging along to the beat in no time!

Free admission. Book free tickets in advance.
