Perth Theatre is offering everyone in the land the opportunity to take part in this year’s panto!

Barrie Hunter, Perth’s much-loved dame is also writing and directing Perth Theatre’s physically distanced panto promenade and live broadcast Oh Yes We Are! A Quest For Long Lost Light And Laughter. He is putting the call out to the people of Perthshire and beyond to make a cameo appearance in the finale of the show.

Barrie is asking everyone to film a short clip of themselves singing a song and doing a simple dance on their phones. All the recordings will be brought together on a giant screen to create a massive group song and dance which will be aired at the finale of every performance. He’s made a video with a set of simple instructions which can be viewed on the Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre website.

The first fifty people who submit a video will be able to claim a free ticket to the live broadcast of the panto on Sunday 13 December. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 17 November and all the details about how to take part can be found on the dedicated Appear in this Year’s Panto page at www.horsecross.co.uk.

"We're so excited to give our community, local and further afield, a chance to appear in this year's show at Christmas. I had a hoot filming this video in my kitchen, and I'm sure there's loads of folk out there who would love to have a go too so I say to everyone - go on, get involved-watch it, film yours and send it in...we can't wait to see you all in action!!"

A combination of physically distanced promenade and live broadcast performances, Oh Yes We Are! A Quest for Long Lost Light And Laughter runs in Perth Theatre and online from Thursday 10 until Thursday 24 December 2020. For tickets and info click here
