Ryan Corbett, accordion

Virtuoso classical accordion playing is extraordinary to hear. The reduction of massive scores for this small instrument necessitates remarkable instrumental dexterity and produces performances of real excitement. This type of playing requires someone very special and Ryan Corbett is one such. Still a student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Ryan began playing accordion aged eleven and has won prizes in Italy, Germany and China as well as Scotland. In addition, he has performed in Barcelona and Berlin. He has a fantastic career in front of him and we are thrilled to present him in a programme ranging from mainstream classical to virtuoso accordion fireworks.
