Perth Concert Hall

For well over a decade, the spectacular joint concert by the Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines Scotland and the Perth Choral Society has been a particularly popular date in Perth’s musical calendar. The beautiful Perth Concert Hall is the venue for this event, providing a modern yet intimate setting for two groups with a shared love of music and performance.

The Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines, and their world-renowned Corps of Drums, are one of the world’s leading military ensembles and perform throughout the United Kingdom and abroad in support of the Naval Service, entertaining audiences with their famous versatility. This concert will highlight that diversity by including symphonic wind band music, big band charts, their ceilidh band and bagpipes but also showcase the collaboration between the two ensembles.

The Choral Society is led by former Royal Marines Director of Music, Peter Rutterford, who previously conducted the Scotland Band and is a driving force behind the success of this joint venture. Both ensembles look forward to returning to the stage and audiences can expect something for all the family.
