Annie is an award-winning writer, director, producer, performer and an occasional filmmaker. She was awarded the Inspiring Scotland Bursary by the Saltire Society and the Scottish Book Trust in 2016.

Recent plays include Twa, Home is Not the Place and The Bridge - a Glasgow 2014 commission.
