Elgar: Pomp & Circumstance March no.4
Khachaturian: Widow of Valencia
Lalo: Symphonie Espagnole, Andante (Violin - Maya Christie)
A mix of music from around the British Isles

After the dark, Scottish winter months, our conductor is keen to warm the Perth Concert Hall audience with the sounds of southern Europe. Khachaturian takes rollicking dance themes and sensual serenades from his native Georgia to the Mediterranean in The Widow of Valencia, while the Andante from Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole will showcase the talented young local violinist, Maya Christie.

To celebrate the year of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the evening's performance will include Elgar's Pomp & Circumstance March no. 4, and a mix of music from around the British Isles.
