One of the finest pianists of today Paul Lewis is no stranger to Perth Concert Hall and we are delighted to celebrate his 50th birthday with a programme which shows many facets of his musicianship. The programme is framed by two of Beethoven’s most dramatic sonatas, the impetuous Pathétique and the thrilling Appassionata. In between we can hear the charm of Debussy and Sibelius and Chopin’s Polonaise-fantaisie with its virtuoso writing and haunting melodies.
