Perth Piano Sundays - Andrew Tyson

Andrew Tyson to replace Alexei Volodin.

Alexei Volodin has unfortunately had to withdraw from Sunday’s recital due to circumstances out with our control. We are very sorry to lose him, but are delighted to say that Andrew Tyson has agreed to stand in at very short notice.

Andrew gave a sensational lunchtime recital earlier this year which led the Perth Courier to say ‘The lustre of lunchtime concerts in Perth was further burnished by exceptional performances from Leeds International Piano Competition Laureate Andrew Tyson.’ The Courier also described him as ‘a magician of the keyboard.’ He is one of the most exciting young pianists on the international circuit

His programme is as follows:

Schubert Sonata in A major, D 664
Chopin Mazurka in C sharp minor, Op 50, No 3
Chopin Mazurka in D flat major, Op 30, No. 3
Chopin Mazurka in C major, Op 33, No 3
Chopin Ballade No 3 in A flat major, Op 47
Albeniz Iberia, book 1
Liszt Rhapsodie espagnole
