The Consone Quartet are currently members of BBC Radio 3’s prestigious New Generation Artists Scheme. They play on period instruments with gut strings which makes their performance of classical repertoire refreshing and vibrant. Beethoven’s A major quartet comes from his first set of quartets and points towards the master that he would become. Czerny was one of Beethoven’s most celebrated pupils
