Bach's
Goldberg Variations are one of the great challenges for a pianist. The haunting aria is followed by 30 extraordinary variations which run to around 80 minutes of a musical tour de force. There is no-one better to perform them for us than Pavel Kolesnikov.
Despite lockdown his career has developed hugely in the last couple of years and he is now regarded as one of the world's star pianists.
