Hold Out Your Hand A new play by Chris Thorpe.

For ages 13-18.

Hold Out Your Hand is a fast-paced, truthful, funny and hopeful new play by Chris Thorpe. Reflecting on how weird the last few months have been, it’s a play that celebrates people being together in the same space and asks performers and audiences to reach out and seize what the future holds for them.

Over 11 weeks we will work with a professional director to rehearse the play, exploring themes, staging/filming concepts and acting technique. This is a play about the gaps where your voice should be – the words you bring to it are the most important part of it.

We will be working towards creating a filmed performance of the play. Workshops will take place online over Zoom.
There may be a possibility of some face-to-face work in March, depending on government guidelines.

Hold Out Your Hand by Chris Thorpe is part of Positive Stories for Negative Times by Wonder Fools in association with Traverse Theatre.

Workshops take place Wednesday 13 January - Wednesday 24 March: 6 - 8pm.
