Enjoy Channeling – our new commission and museum acquisition for single and multiple screens by the Scottish visual and performance artist Jenny Hogarth – one of the five Talbot Rice Residents 2019-2021. Hogarth’s new work presents, not without humour, the tension between being an artist and a mother. It channels a mixed autobiographical and fictional perspective on the dualities of public and private, surveillance and censorship, caution and recklessness, choreography and improvisation. It creates an energetic yet meditative flow across the panoramic screens.

Supported by Horsecross Arts and Freelands Foundation. In partnership with Talbot Rice Gallery and Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh.
