What is a relaxed performance?
Relaxed performances are less formal and have a more supportive atmosphere allowing everyone to experience the joy of live performance.
Everyone is welcome to attend, however customers with an autistic spectrum condition, sensory sensitivity, communication or learning disability may find these performances particularly beneficial.
The relaxed performance is still the same show, but with some small changes including:
- A more casual approach to noise in the auditorium
- Customers are free to leave and re-enter the auditorium at any point
- Lights in the auditorium remain on low throughout the show
- Adapted sound and lighting
- No pyrotechnics or strobe lighting will be used
Visual Stories are designed to help customers with a variety of special needs and those on the autistic spectrum to prepare for their visit to Perth Theatre.
Our Visual Story contains lots of images along with helpful information to help you to understand what to expect from your visit and to prepare for the sights and sounds of the experience.
