If everyone lived as we do in Scotland, we would need three planets to support us. We can’t make more planets, but we can make a difference.
We want to play our part in fixing the problem by using less to do more.
We have already started to change and we know there is always more to do to achieve environmentally sustainable development.
We will do our best to improve our performance, and encourage our suppliers to do the same.
We promise to:
Reduce our consumption of resources and improve the efficient use of resources.
Measure and take action to reduce the carbon footprint of our activities to meet agreed targets.
To reduce, re-use and recycle to reduce waste generated from our operations.
Manage our operations to prevent pollution.
Consider environmental criteria in the development and delivery of our services and in our purchase of goods and services from others.
Comply (as a minimum) with all relevant environmental legislation and seek out good practice.
Regularly review our environmental policy, monitor and review our performance and continuously seek improvements.
Train Team Horsecross in these areas and share good practice with both our partners and our customers.
