Perth Theatre may be closed for redevelopment, but the show goes on while the building is dark with venues from across the area stepping in to host Perth Theatre Out and About, Horsecross Sessions and the many theatre community groups.

And now, Perth Concert Hall is playing its part by hosting this year’s panto Sleeping Beauty.

The same team who created last year’s Cinderella, Perth’s most successful pantomime on record, return in the shape of writer Alan McHugh and regular dame Barrie Hunter.

Barrie, who brought the house down as one of the two very ugly sisters in Cinderella, returns to the Fair City for the fourth year running. Looking ahead to the family festive favourite he said:

"I am absolutely delighted to be back in Perth again this festive season, getting the old frocks and make up on, and running about like a big daft lassie! I'm thoroughly looking forward to performing in the Concert Hall for the first time, and if anyone can make the transition a smooth one, and make me feel at home, it's the Perth audience!"

Tickets are on sale already for traditional family pantomime Sleeping Beauty which runs in Perth Concert Hall from Friday 12 December until Friday 26 December. For more info contact Horsecross Arts Box Office on 01738 621031 click here.
