After debuting with a sold-out 6 week run in Johannesburg in 2013 and subsequent tours to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US, The Greatest Love of All – The Whitney Houston Show is set to perform in the UK for the very first time this Autumn! This live concert, which comes to Perth Concert Hall on Wednesday 9 November features the breathtaking vocal talent of Belinda Davids, is a fun, heartfelt and uplifting homage to Whitney Houston.
Accompanied by a live band and dancers, Davids performs over two hours of Houston’s most loved pop hits live on stage. And there is no person better equipped to do so. In addition to having a voice described as “jaw-droppingly similar” to the pop diva, Davids openly acknowledges that Houston is her personal idol and was the original inspiration for her own career when she began singing at the age of 14. “I want people to come and remember Whitney when she was at the top of her game and when she was fabulous”, says Davids. The show includes 20 of Houston’s most popular tracks from the full span of her career, including ‘I Will Always Love You’, ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ and ‘I’m Every Woman’, combined with replica costuming and full-scale lighting and effects to produce a spectacular concert experience that honours Houston’s memory and celebrates her musical legacy. Davids will be directed by Showtime Australia Creative Director John Van Grinsven Snr. and joined on tour by the production team responsible for other international hit tribute shows The Michael Jackson HIStory Show and Queen – It’s a Kinda Magic.
