The Scottish Fiddle Orchestra’s annual visit to Perth Concert Hall will be extra special this year as the group’s patron HRH The Princess Royal will be in the audience.
There are still a few tickets left for the popular show on Saturday 18 February. Widely recognised as Scotland’s own National Fiddle Orchestra, the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra will bring a wide repertoire spanning the whole breadth of Scottish music. From stirring pipe marches through swinging reels to haunting slow airs and beautifully sung classical Scots songs.
Under the baton of Blair Parham, the show will include the orchestra's own musical arrangements, some well-loved and well known, but mixed with a blend of new material, all played with the SFO's usual dash and vigour.
Renowned mezzo-soprano Colette Ruddy and tenor Dennis Haggerty, the SFO's own young piper, Jamie Westhead and The Vale of Atholl G4 Pipe Band complete the evening's entertainment.
Compere Robert Lovie will apply his own unique blend of humour and anecdotes to the show.
