Perth Theatre has welcomed Thorntons back on board as the sponsor of Perth Theatre’s family pantomime Sinbad.

The local legal firm has been involved in sponsoring Perth panto for four years, starting in 2016 with Dick McWhittington, supporting the Aladdin young company in the theatre’s reopening production the following year and as sponsor of Snow White and the Seven Dames in 2018.

Lesley Mearns, Partner at Thorntons Solicitors, said:

“Full of fun and laughter, the Perth panto is always a great day out for families and friends to enjoy over the festive period and we’re delighted to be headline sponsors once again this year. This year’s show, Sinbad, is a unique production and the cast is already generating rave reviews – it’s not to be missed!”

Rachael Prothero, development manager for Horsecross Arts, the creative organisation and charity behind Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre said:

“We’re delighted to have local company Thorntons back on board as sponsor of Perth Theatre’s family pantomime Sinbad. This is our fourth year working with the team at Thorntons and it’s a partnership we’re very proud of. Sponsorship is an increasingly important source of income for organisations like Horsecross Arts. What’s more, the arts are good for business: investing in the arts helps companies reach new audiences and supports them with their corporate social responsibility by helping improve cultural opportunities in their community. If any businesses are interested in following in Thorntons’ footsteps and finding out more, we’d encourage them to get in touch.”

Sinbad runs in Perth Theatre until Saturday 4 January. For tickets and info for Sinbad click here or contact Horsecross Arts Box Office on 01738 621031.
