Horsecross Arts, the creative organisation and charity behind Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre has appointed Nick Williams as its new chief executive.

A producer and arts manager for over 20 years, Nick has extensive experience producing, presenting and touring new writing and international theatre, working for The Coronet Theatre, Actors Touring Company, Paines Plough, Nutkhut, Hampstead Theatre and the RSC as well as producing under his own name. He has held leadership roles in the Theatre Team of Arts Council England, working with a range of high-profile theatre organisations and leading programmes supporting the development of collaborative working between producing theatres. Nick has also consulted for a range of theatre, music and dance organisations in the UK and Denmark.

Nick said:

“I’m delighted to be coming to Perth and am hugely looking forward to leading the team at Perth Theatre and Concert Hall. We will continue to bring the best performances possible to the people of Perth and beyond, whilst working closely with staff and the board to ensure that the organisation has a sustainable and resilient business model for the future.”

Nick Williams will take up his new role on Monday 2 December.
