Our venues — Perth Theatre and Perth Concert Hall — each have a charm of their own and we know that some customers book by venue just because they want to visit!
Perth Theatre is our mini Moulin Rouge right on the High Street (and, ironically, training ground for Ewan McGregor). It has a charming 460-seat Edwardian auditorium — quite dinky — that's ideally suited to our theatre programme of classic and contemporary drama. There's a small Studio Theatre for occasional performances. Our newly extended Threshold artspace now hosts contemporary art exhbitions in the decadent redrooms bar and restaurant.
By contrast, Perth Concert Hall is shiny and new. The 1,200-seat auditorium is a chameleon of a space that morphs to sporting arena, exhibition space, TV studio, fashion catwalk, awards dinner. The Norie-Miller Studio is ideal for workshops, family events and small scale performances. The open public space is home to glassrooms cafe bar restaurant + Threshold artspace where newly commissioned work by international and local artists could be seen alongside favourites from our permanent collection of contemporary art.
