Bach Collegium Japan is arguably the finest period instrument ensemble performing in the world today. We are incredibly excited to welcome this virtuoso group to Perth Concert Hall for their only UK performance in 2011/2012.
The acoustics of Perth Concert Hall are perfect for baroque music and Suzuki has devised three wonderfully varied programmes ranging across the era. Soloists include soprano Joanne Lunn, who is internationally renowned for her
performances of Bach. There are also acclaimed soloists on violin, organ, bassoon, oboe, recorder, flute and harpsichord.
In this first concert, viruoso recorder and organ playing provide the prelude to works of Bach - the composer for which Masaaki Suzuki is an internationally renowned interpreter.
