Mozart was the virtuoso pianist of his day and all his chamber music was imagined from the piano outwards. Scot Susan Tomes is one of the world's leading chamber musicians; for 16 years she was the pianist of the celebrated Florestan Trio. Shie is also a prolific writer and broadcaster. Susan devised this fascinating series of concerts for Perth, exploring Mozart's violin and piano music in the context of his solo piano composition.

Each concert contains a major piano solo work as well as three of Mozart's sonatas in which the central piano is joined by the violin. She is partnered by Erich Höbarth, leader of Quatuor Mosaiques and Concentus Musicus of Vienna, who studies with Sandor Vegh - one of the great chamber musicians of the 20th century.

This is the third concert in the series.
