Southern Fried Festival 2017

Based in Perth Concert Hall and venues throughout the city, Southern Fried will take place on the weekend of Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 July 2017. The lineup will be announced in the spring.

Since the festival launched in 2008, artists have included Steve Earle, John Prine, The Mavericks, Lucinda Williams, Seasick Steve, Booker T, Rosanne Cash, Lyle Lovett, Blind Boys Of Alabama, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Imelda May, Raul Malo, Justin Townes Earle, Iris DeMent, Darrell Scott, Patty Griffin, The McCrary Sisters, Ruthie Foster, Stax! featuring Steve Cropper, Donald "Duck" Dunn and Eddie Floyd, Tom Russell, Savoy Family Cajun Band, Hayseed Dixie, Allen Toussaint, Los Lobos, Nanci Griffith, Sturgill Simpson, John Fullbright, Andy Fairweather-Low, Hot 8 Brass Band, Mary Gauthier, Eddi Reader, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Slaid Cleaves, Alvin Youngblood Hart, The Holmes Brothers, Elizabeth Cook, Rachel Harrington, Phantom Limb, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Gretchen Peters, Yola Carter, Paul Carrack, Nick Lowe and many more.

Southern Fried covers a wide range of musical styles including country, blues, bluegrass, gospel, soul, songwriters, and more. Plus authentic southern and soul food, free gigs, latenight performances and workshops.
