Could you be our next panto star? Perth Theatre is on the lookout for a community cast for this year's panto Jack and the Beanstalk!

If you love to perform, are aged 18+ and can spare a few evenings/afternoons over the festive period then we would love to hear from you. We are having auditions on Saturday 10 September from 10am until 4pm in the theatre with allocated timeslots throughout the day.

There's no need to prepare anything, we will have lots of fun on the day. You'll be required to sing and dance. The audition will consist of singing in a group and perhaps a line or two individually. Then there will also be a little dance routine to learn (it’ll be quite simple).

We’re auditioning for ensemble parts, and there will also be the opportunity to take a front-facing (or rear-facing) role as one half of our panto cow Maggie Moo the Highland Coo!

In terms of availability, we are going to try our very hardest to fit it around the successful members own work/childcare schedules etc. You would need to be available during November and December. It’s likely you would be performing every second night or afternoon. There may be some day-time rehearsals with Barrie Hunter who is directing and some rehearsals in the evening.

If you'd like to get involved, please email engagement@horsecross.co.uk by 5pm on Monday 5 September, and someone will be in touch to allocate an audition time slot.

Participation is restricted to non-professional performers and those who are not currently in performance training.
