CALL OUT FOR: New Writing and acting talent based in Perth to feature in a short comedy film produced by the BBC - see below for info from BBC on how to get involved. 

BBC Writersroom and BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend are joining forces to develop and produce four short comedy films, written by new writers, as part of The Biggest Weekend Festival & Fringe.
 
The Biggest Weekend Monologues will be a celebration of music festivals in four mini films made for social media – premiering at The Biggest Weekend on the live event screens.  This is a development opportunity aimed at aspiring writers and actors that have a passion for comedy and their city.
 
What we’re looking for
 
1. Undiscovered writing talent to write a one page monologue.
2. Undiscovered talent to perform these monologues.
 
You’ll be working with BBC Writersroom and a professional director to bring these monologues to life, which will be filmed for BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend event and selected social media channels.

-              And if all that isn’t enough you’ll also get a FREE TICKET to the Biggest Weekend in Perth on Saturday 26th May.
 
How to apply?

You will need to be available on the following dates:
 
Writers: Successful candidates must be available to attend a workshop on Monday 14th of May from 11am-4pm (for longlisted writers) and Tuesday 15th May from 10am-5pm (for shortlisted writers) in Glasgow or Perth TBC.
 
Actors: Tuesday 15th May - script development / casting day in Glasgow or Perth TBC, from 2:45pm – 7pm. (early finish likely)
Actors: Friday 20th May – filming from 10am-2pm at Scone Palace, Perth. Exact filming times TBC nearer the time, but we will need flexibility.
