Production & Technical Assistant  - Lighting
Full Time –Annualised Hours
Salary - £19,714 per annum

An exciting opportunity is arisen to join our production team. Working as a key member of the team you will provide a high standard of production and technical support for all concerts, events, in-house productions, education activities, visiting productions, co-productions, tours and transfers.   

Essential requirements of the post are at least one year’s experience of production and technical work with specific knowledge of current lighting technology and practice. You should also have a working knowledge & understanding of a stage manager role and practical experience with live sound.  In addition, you should be able to undertake physical tasks including working at height.

The post is based at Perth Concert Hall, but you may be required to work at other Horsecross venues and events as necessary.

Catering Supervisor (Evening & Weekends)
Minimum 20 hours a week fixed term for a year

Front of House Assistant – Zero Hours
£25.20 per shift (one shift is 3.5 hours)
Day, evening & weekend work

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic front of house staff to provide a warm welcome to our audiences, conference delegates and community participants.  Working as part of a team you will have some experience of working with the public and have excellent customer care skills. Good literacy, numeracy and problem solving skills are also required.

Freelance Assistant Tutor (2016/17)  -Horsecross Glee Juniors

Horsecross Arts run two vocal groups for young people - Horsecross Glee Juniors (4 – 11yrs) and Horsecross Glee (12 – 18yrs).  The groups sing popular vocal music, focusing on close harmony and on creating their own arrangements of music. Glee Juniors will take a maximum of 50 young people over two  groups (P1-3 and P4 – 7).  The group will be a co-educational group with young people attending from all over Perth and Kinross.  The group will be open to anyone regardless of ability and will not be auditioned.

We are looking for an assistant tutor for Horsecross Glee Juniors who will be expected to work collaboratively with a lead tutor to deliver creative and inspiring rehearsals. You should be able to read and write music and have good keyboard skills or the ability to play an accompanying instrument (such as guitar).  Experience of movement or dance would also be helpful, although not a necessity.

Fees: £20 per hour contact time + £15 per week prep

Talent Hub - Music Apprentices 2016/17 - Bursary Payment of £2000

Horsecross Arts continues to support emerging musicians in the traditional and Gaelic genres. As part of this work we are seeking two apprentices to work alongside, and be mentored by, established musicians. The aim is to encourage early career musicians to develop their personal practice through a variety of music experiences. Part of this apprenticeship will involve working with the Gordon Duncan Experience (GDE).  We are looking for an early career musician specialising in instrumental playing or vocals with an intention to make a career in the field of Scottish traditional and/or Gaelic music.

PVG Scheme Membership (Children) is a requirement of this role.
