We are an independent organisation with charitable status.

We are governed by a Board of Directors who volunteer their time, skills and experience and we are led by our Chief Executive who reports to the Horsecross Board.

We earn nearly half our annual turnover from ticket sales, catering and conferencing.

We receive funding for our programme of activities from Perth & Kinross Council.

We are a Regular funded client of Creative Scotland.

We also focus our fundraising efforts on raising money from trusts and foundations, corporate sponsorship and individual donations.

Our venues

The vision to build a £20 million Concert Hall was part of Perth's Millennium celebrations. A successful fundraising campaign raised the money from Perth & Kinross Council, Perth & Kinross Leisure, The Gannochy Trust, Scottish Enterprise Tayside and Norwich Union.

We are very grateful to the many organisations who have invested in the bricks and mortar at Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre, for the technology and software development for Threshold artspace or to those who are helping us create a lively, exciting programme and expand and grow our community programme.

We now have plans to transform Perth Theatre and we are looking forward to working in partnership with Perth & Kinross Council and other confirmed funders such as The Gannochy Trust and The Heritage Lottery Fund. For more detailed information please visit the Transform Perth Theatre page.

Partnership approach

We are firm believers that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

We have a number of fruitful partnerships where collaborative working helps us achieve more. For example, we are founding members of Audiences East Scotland; an audience development agency for the East of Scotland and much of our community work is achieved in collaboration with external organisations such as the NHS and Drake Music.
