Horsecross Arts, in collaboration with the Gordon Duncan Trust, Perth & Kinross Council and Youth Music Initiative, are starting up a new Celtic Big Band: The Gordon Duncan Experience.
The Gordon Duncan Experience is open to anyone aged 14 - 18 years old residing in Perth and Kinross. We're looking for around 40 young people to join the band which will rehearse over four weekends between now and the first concert in Perth Concert Hall on Sat 25 Sep 2010.
We're looking for people who play Scottish traditional instruments such as accordion, pipes and clarsach as well as young people who play brass, woodwind, strings, percussion and piano. It's free to join the band, which will be led by Corrina Hewat and David Milligan, but you must audition - see below for more info and an application form.
