Slap bang in the middle of Perth’s bustling High Street, who would expect to find one of Scotland’s oldest theatres! Perth Theatre is well over 100 years old — and continues to be one of the busiest. It has a charming Edwardian 460 seat auditorium and a decadent café bar and restaurant, Redrooms.
Perth Theatre offers a year round programme of classic and popular drama, new writing, unique Perth productions and touring shows, with a spattering of music, comedy and dance thrown in for good measure. Our Studio Theatre hosts small scale performances and Redrooms is home to The Monday Night Thing - the perfect venue for singer-songwriters, jazz, folk and comedy. The big news is that Perth & Kinross Council has awarded us £2m to begin a fundraising programme to redevelop Perth Theatre. This project is in the early planning stages. Look out for news below.
