Catch Hare & Tortoise at Perth Theatre if you can!

Hare and Tortoise are dashing all over Scotland this autumn, stopping at theatres, village halls and community venues from Stirling to Strathpeffer delighting children with their fast, funny and innovative take on Aesop's legendary chase.

The cheeky characters are limbering up to perform in Perth Theatre on Friday 16 October and the race for tickets is on!

From the creative team behind Molly Whuppie, Heelie-go-Leerie, Magic Spaghetti, Green Whale, and Wee Witches: The Hare and the Tortoise is a hilarious stage adaptation of Aesop's classic fable.

Adapted by Virginia Radcliffe and Deborah Arnott, produced by Licketyspit, this wonderfully comic, competitive double act romps through one of the most famous races of all time, making use of bold design, music, songs, poetry and puppetry.

Originally performed by creators Virginia Radcliffe and Deborah Arnott, this production sees Licketyspit's first all male cast, as brave Tortoise (Paul Chaal) challenges the boastful Hare (Tas Emiabata), but who will win this famed contest?

The Hare and the Tortoise is another example of Licketyspit's unique brand of interactive theatre for young audiences: inspiring and firing children's imaginations!

At Licketyspit performances there are always lots of opportunities to get involved in the action - The Hare and the Tortoise is no different - put on your supporters' hats to shout, "Hare will be there! Yeh Yeh Yeh!" or "Go Tortoise go! Don't be slow!"

Young fans can get involved on stage and off, with programmes that become supporters' hats, games, song sheets, play packs and CDs.

The Hare and the Tortoise CD with incredibly catchy songs, by Tim Brinkhurst and Virginia Radcliffe, and action from the original show will be on sale at the venue.

Catch The Hare and the Tortoise in Perth Theatre on Friday 16 October at 2pm.  For tickets, contact Horsecross Box Office on 01738 621 031 or click here.
