First Minister praises Perth venue

Perth Concert Hall is "A jewel in the crown of Perthshire" according to Alex Salmond.

Speaking after the Scottish National Party Conference held at the Fair City venue in October, Scotland's First Minister said:

"Perth Concert Hall provided a stunning, modern setting for the SNP's 74th Annual National Conference, with excellent facilities and helpful staff. From technical expertise to the fabulous catering, the Concert Hall is certainly a jewel in the crown of Perthshire."

He also had kind words for the welcoming people of Perth and announced his intention to come back soon, saying:

"We hope to return in the near future to experience more of the wonderful hospitality the city has to offer."

The conference ran for three and a half days from Thursday 16th October until Sunday 19th October.  As well as the 750 delegates, the event, which has doubled in size over the last two years, attracted 240 exhibitors, 150 observers and 200 members of the media.
